Let me introduce... Coral. She is the last one of my new head moulds. Coral is a truly versatile sleeping beauty. Depending on styling and light, she can seem moody, shy, sweet and even gently smiling. I gave her very delicate eyebrows and lashes to compliment her fresh-looking features. Despite having closed eyes, Coral can be rather lively - in a quiet, unassuming kind of way. Her presence is very tangible, in spite of Coral's modest nature. She is a joy to have around. Her face is peaceful, but nuanced. If she was a real person, would she be dreaming of something pleasant?
The sofa Coral is resting on is also of my own making. It is a really simple construction of styrofoam covered with fabric. It has large beads for legs. It happened one Sunday afternoon and is an example of what can be done with basic, recycled materials. I had fun making it and plan to expand on my doll furniture making skills over time, too.
For now, I leave you with some images of my newest creation, the doll named Coral.

wow, i know i say that every time you make a new doll, but she is my new favourite!
i love dolls with closed eyes, for some reason i feel like they can convey so much feeling, even more than dolls with open eyes.
she is really lovely, congratulations!

Closed eyes
Thank you! I agree with you, Coral's helped me understand that dolls with permanently closed eyes have something captivating about them.
